The Pain was a member of the Cobra Unit and was known as the "hornet soldier." The Pain has the ability to control swarms of hornets. He carries the Queen in his backpack and uses her to help control the bees. The Pain also carries viles which he throws at his enemies to attract the hornets to them. In addition he carries grenades and a tommy gun to make himself even more deadly. He can protect himself from attacks by covering himself with a shield of his hornets and fools his enemies by creating a duplicate of himself made of hornets. He also carries bullet bees inside of his body and, when released, the bullet bees fly after their intended target and burrow themselves into his/her body and kills them from the inside.
