Ocelot is a western fanatic who has been involved with countless organizations. However, all of his activities can be traced back to the Patriots. Ocelot was born during the Landing at Normandy in 1944 and is the son of The Boss and The Sorrow, two members of the legendary Cobra unit. Shortly after this, Ocelot was kidnapped by the Patriots, who at that time were known only as the Philosophers. Therefore, he began his training as a Patriots' spy at a very early age. Soon after this, he was taken in by Colonel Volgin and raised inside GRU.
In 1960, Ocelot began posing as a defecting NSA codebreaker inside the KGB, under the codename "ADAM."
This act enabled him to spy on both the KGB and the GRU, neither organisation having any knowledge of his affiliation with the American Philosophers.
By the time he was 20, Ocelot had already become the commander of the elite Ocelot unit, who were far better trained than the rest of GRU. It was around this time that Ocelot first met Big Boss, who was then known as Naked Snake. Ocelot was very cocky at the time, and as a result, managed to jam his gun and allow Snake to overpower him. Snake commented on his technique, and told him that it would be better suited for a revolver. It was this incident that inspired Ocelot to begin using revolvers.
Ocelot looked up to Big Boss as both a rival and an idol, and their last encounter in Operation Snake Eater ended almost amicably. It was also during this mission that Ocelot managed to get hold of the design plans for Metal Gear. He would be the master strategist in the FOX unit rebellion in retrieving the remaining half of the Philosophers Legacy. Which would lead to him erasing the Philosophers and forming the Patriots to making the world whole again. Big Boss was the reason that Ocelot later joined FOXHOUND, although he was already dead by the time Ocelot joined.
Ocelot had also become inspired by Colonel Volgin's torturous ways during Operation Snake Eater, and as a result became a sadist himself, earning the infamous nickname "Shalashaska." His skill with revolvers also earned him a new prefix to his name, thus he became "Revolver" Ocelot.
Later events, including the Shadow Moses Island incident, the tanker incident and the Big Shell takeover, showed that Ocelot manipulated many people for the sake of the Patriots, including Liquid Snake, Sergei and Olga Gurlukovich, Dead Cell and Solidus Snake. However, there is a rather large mishap in his work for the Patriots - during the events of Shadow Moses, Ocelot lost his right arm to Gray Fox, and later had an arm transplant. The person whose arm he had grafted to his body was Liquid Snake. Liquid still lives inside this arm, and sometimes takes over Ocelot�s mind, usually awakening whenever Solid Snake is nearby.
The last time Ocelot was seen, Liquid had taken over his mind once again and set out with Metal Gear RAY to find and destroy the Patriots. However, he is not expected to be successful, as it is likely that even Ocelot does not know exactly where they are located.
5 years after the Manhattan incident. Ocelot, now controlled by Liquid Snake, is leading the PMC army to ingulf the world in War. It is unknown if Ocelot has any control over his formerself.
