President James Johnson/ Age (The Big Shell 40's) deceased

In 2009, it appeared that Johnson was taken hostage along with a party of other people. The terrorist group, Sons of Liberty, say that they must keep him alive until his vital signs are confirmed as the input code for Arsenal Gear. This is not the actual case though, as Johnson was actually working with the terrorists until Solidus told him that his true intentions were to destory the Patriots. Johnson believes that the Patriots must exist for the nation to succeed and he hoped to use the terrorist act as levarage to become one of the Patriots. Raiden meets up with Johnson in the Shell 2 Core and at first he believes Raiden is Olga Gurlukovich. Once Raiden tells him that he is a member of FOXHOUND, an organization Johnson knows doesn't exist any longer, he begins to put the pieces together. Johnson then realizes that everything that had occured in the Big Shell that day had been planned from the beginning by the Patriots. Johnson plays out his role in the S3 Plan, then he is assassinated by Ocelot.
