Peter Stillman/ Age (The Big Shell 50's) Deceased
Peter Stillman was considered one of the greatest bomb disposal experts of all time. He helped to stop numerous bombs from exploding and saved the lives of countless people. In 2004, Stillman was sent to diffuse a bomb in a famous church. Stillman made a mistake though, and instead of disposing the bomb he instead triggered it. The bomb wiped out the church as well as a nearby playground and the children playing on it. He was ashamed of his mistake and began to make people believe that he had lost his leg in the blast and now had a prosthetic.
He moved on to being a consultant for the NYPD bomb squad as well as being a lecturer at NSEOD Indian Head. Stillman soon met his greatest student, Fatman. Fatman had already built an atomic bomb years earlier when he was only ten years old. Stillman taught Fatman everything he knew about bomb disposal and treated him like he was his own son.
In 2009, Stillman was brought out of retirement and sent with Seal Team 10 to the Big Shell to diffuse numerous bombs that his former student, Fatman, had placed there. Once Seal Team 10 went into the Big Shell, Stillman stayed in Strut C to wait until he was needed. There he met Raiden and Iroquois Plisken and gave them information and supplies on how to diffuse the bombs. Stillman then stayed in a pantry in Strut C and provided support over the codec to Raiden and Plisken. Stillman becomes aware that the bombs are all in the wrong place if Fatman truly wants to destroy the Big Shell. Plisken then radios Stillman and tells him of the bombs located on the bottom of Strut H. Stillman then admits to the two that his leg is really fine and he has been faking all along. After his confession and not realizing that it was all a trap set by Fatman, Stillman heads to the bottom of Strut H to see the bomb for himself and see if he can figure out a way to diffuse it. Once Stillman was within 7 feet (2 meters) of the bomb it counted down and exploded, killing Stillman in the process.
