Sigint is an expert on weapons and technology who helped FOX during Operation Snake Eater. His codename comes from the military term SIGINT, which stands for Signal Intelligence. Sigint has a lot of interest in advancing forms of technology and wants to work on them, but most companies won't hire him because of his race. Major Zero wasn't one of those people and hired Sigint quickly and appointed him to Naked Snake's support team. In 1965, Siginit joined ARPA and took place in the development of ARPANET. He would also lend technical support to Big Boss once again during the FOX rebellion in 1970.
Mr. Sigint, better known as Donald Anderson is the DARPA Chief, who funded the Metal Gear Rex project along with ArmsTech. He and the ArmsTech President, Kenneth Baker, were taken hostage by the terrorists at Shadow Moses during their visit to the disposal facility where Rex was being developed, as each of them knew one of the two passwords needed to activate Metal Gear. The Chief was a close friend of Jim Houseman, the Secretary of Defence, and intended to steal Metal Gear's test data from President Baker and deliver it to Houseman. The Chief was killed during the interrogation for his password, seemingly by accident. However, Revolver Ocelot deliberately killed him because he was aware of Ocelot's true identity as Solidus Snake's spy. It was after this "accident" that the terrorists were forced to trick Solid Snake into activating Rex using a different method.
